The Thesis focus on the topic of Social Agricolture considering the spaces of the Mistica Estate located in the far suburb of Rome.
The estate exist since the Roman era as a stop for pilgrims travelling to Preneste sanctuary. During the centuries it was converted into a farmland to supply fresh goods to the city of Rome.
Today the Mistica estate is half in abadon, half given to cooperatives which practices social agricolture working with people having disabilities or ex inmates. Even if these realities are proven good, the area is neglected, fregmented, and cutted away from the city. It is very difficult to reach, connections are very poor and being there you might feel unsafe as spaces are huge but poeple are never there.
Our aim is to provide connections, and to place low cost “territorial objects” to furnish the space in order to attract people and let them discover these reality.

03. PROJECT A: TERRITORIAL OBJECTS
Devices are micro-infrastructures available to urban users. They are designed to be inexpensive, off-grid, environmentally sustainable, flexible, multifunctional and easy to implement. They serve to equip areas that are currently under-utilised, improving their safety conditions, and to stimulate connections leading to the Mistica.

04. PROJECT B: ABANDONED SHEDS
They will host workshops for people with physical and/or cognitive disabilities, and will be open to urban users for both educational and social purposes.
